Frequently Asked Questions

What is a good reaction time?

Average human reaction time for visual stimuli is around 250ms. Athletes and gamers often achieve times below 200ms. Elite performers can reach as low as 120-150ms. This test lets you benchmark yourself against these tiers.

What are the two game modes?

Static Flash: the green target always appears in the center — pure reaction speed. Random Position: the green target appears at random locations on screen, testing both reaction speed and spatial awareness.

How does the anti-cheat work?

If you click or tap before the green target appears (during the red waiting phase), the round is invalidated. You must wait for the green signal. This ensures accurate reaction time measurement.

Are my scores saved?

Yes! Your best time, average time, and recent history are saved locally in your browser (localStorage). No data is sent anywhere. You can clear all data anytime using the 'Clear All Data' button.

Can I improve my reaction time?

Yes. Regular practice, staying focused, getting adequate rest, and engaging in fast-paced activities like video games or sports can help improve reaction times over time.
